Karahantepe is reached from Şanlıurfa, and Şanlıurfa is reached from Istanbul by domestic flight — usually into Şanlıurfa GAP Airport (GNY), sometimes into Gaziantep or Diyarbakır when that suits the schedules better. Flight timetables vary by date, so we plan the ground arrangements around the connections actually available for your journey rather than around a fixed departure.

Schedules vary by date, so we plan the ground arrangements around the flights available for your journey. A same-day return from Istanbul is not the way we would recommend seeing the region.

- We would suggest it. The museum holds sculpture and reconstructions that give the Taş Tepeler landscape its wider context, and pairing it with the sites — before or after — makes both easier to read.
- When is a comfortable time to travel?
- Spring and autumn are generally the most comfortable periods for outdoor archaeological visits. Summers in the region are hot and winter days are shorter, so daily timing is adapted to seasonal conditions and to official opening hours.
